After spending three weeks in the Sport, Hybrid and base Fusions, I feel Ford now has the most complete — and best — lineup in the midsize car segment.

The Fusion has matured into a competitive roster of midsize sedans, able to compete with the best in the marketplace, including sales juggernauts such as the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord. It’s a worthy winner of Motor Trend’s 2010 Car of the Year competition.

The comfortable and attractive redesigned Ford Fusion blew me away with its high-tech options and excellent mileage ratings, as well as a starting price of just under $20,000.

The 2012 Ford Fusion provides excellent mileage and a terrific driving experience. What really sets it apart is its smoother ride, wonderful new four-cylinder engine and a number of standard features that make it a good deal as well.

The 2010 Ford Fusion is finally a stand-out in this incredibly crowded class. If any volume vehicle is going to help pull Ford out of the doldrums, it’s this car.

There’s a lot to like about the new, improved Fusion — sharp styling, good road manners, and a brilliant infotainment package. But the cheapish interior to be a bit of a turn-off.

The Fusion is a comfortable, contemporary car that brings a tremendous amount of value to the table. All it needs is a little tweaking to be a real performance sedan. Come on, Ford! Do it!
